Gallery Shop Team Leader
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced retail manager with knowledge of the book industry, an eye for design, a love of art and art history and the drive and vision to lead Christchurch Art Gallery's successful retail shop.
As the Shop Team Leader, you will manage the store whilst delivering first class sales and customer service. You'll enjoy the challenge of running a busy gallery, book and gift store. You'll be responsible for stock selection and merchandise development that reflects the Gallery's programmes and brand. You will also be responsible for expanding the Gallery's on-line retail opportunities via our recently-redeveloped website.
As the Shop Team Leader you will have a positive 'can-do' attitude, creative flair, and the ability to build and develop strong productive working relationships. To be considered for this role, you must have previous retail management experience, including a proven track record of sales and team leadership. In addition, you will have excellent communication skills, be self-motivated and have the ability to encourage others.
