Curator Contemporary Art

The arts team are seeking a curator with specialist skills in contemporary art.

Situated within the broader field of art and visual culture, a primary portfolio responsibility and focus will be on contemporary art from 1970 onwards, both New Zealand and international.

If you have extensive knowledge and experience in working in the visual arts sector and have specific knowledge of the New Zealand contemporary art sector then this may be the job for you.

In addition to your knowledge and experience in contemporary art you will also need to have:

• Strong research and analytical skills
• An ability to identify areas for collection development
• Good arts networks
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills
